Man dragged by Clarendon County school bus, injuries not life-threatening

A Walker-Gamble Elementary School bus encountered a truck stopped in a roadway while taking students home on Wednesday afternoon. The pickup was blocking much of the dirt road, and a bystander came close to the bus to show the driver how to drive around.

The bystander’s clothing was tangled in the bus, and the bus dragged the man six feet. His injuries were not life-threatening, but they were serious enough he was taken to the hospital. No one else was injured during the incident.
