OBITUARY: Helen Thelma Bodenheimer Clark

Helen Thelma Bodenheimer Clark passed away in Newport News, Virginia, on Sunday, January 20, 2019.

A native of Manning and a graduate of Anderson College, Mrs. Clark retired from the Air Force Civil Service at Langley AFB, being held in exemplary regard after decades of service. She was a devoted member of Hilton Baptist Church where she actively participated in its ministry. She was a loving and generous wife, sister, aunt, and friend.

She is held in loving memory by her sister-in-law, Kay Felder Bodenheimer (John) of Aiken; nieces, Beth Bodenheimer Dworjanyn and Melissa Bodenheimer McInnis (Jonathan); grandnephews, Jack Dworjanyn, Nick Dworjanyn and Aidan McInnis; one grandniece, Kate McInnis, all of Columbia, South Carolina. Survivors also include many other in-laws, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Clark; brothers, John Travis and Charles Bodenheimer (Tasca); parents, Charles and Mae Flowers Bodenheimer; and nephew, John Travis Bodenheimer II.

A viewing will be held at 2 p.m. with a funeral service following at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 27, 2019, at Hilton Baptist Church, 101 Main Street, Newport News, Virginia, with the Rev. Lynwood Wells officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2019, at the Manning Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Phillip Reynolds officiating.
