Upcoming book signings at Harvin Clarendon County Library

The Harvin Clarendon County Library has two more book signing events scheduled as they look to highlight authors with Clarendon County connections. In a meet and greet session on October 27, Craig Q. King will chat with attendees about his book, The Path to Exceptional Living: 15 Lessons to Living an Extraordinary Life, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Light refreshments will be served during the event. King, a Manning native currently living in Columbia, is an experienced motivational speaker and educator. With a background in elementary education, King received several awards throughout his teaching career. King, an 18-year cancer survivor, now travels as a motivational speaker in education, as well as cancer survivorship. He devotes much of his time to serving his community through empowerment seminars for boys, a Lego robotics camp he created for his local area and his Spider Sense Leadership Series, designed to engage K-12 children, college students and adults in recognizing and implementing leadership principles. On November 10, join Tamika Prince at her book signing event from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Prince, a Greenville native, attended the University of South Carolina – Upstate, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She and her husband, Justin Matthew Prince, who is from Manning, have two sons, Justin and Jaxon. Prince was inspired by her son, Justin’s, trip to the pumpkin patch in 2016. Over the next two years, Prince created a fictional story to share Justin’s special pumpkin patch memories. The adventure story, Justin’s Pumpkin Patch Adventure, is full of learning and colorful illustrations. The picture book is designed for preschool to early elementary school children. During Prince’s signing, there will be a pumpkin activity for children who attend. Books will be available to purchase during the event, and both authors will donate a copy to the library for residents to check out. Authors with a connection to Clarendon County who have print books are invited to contact the Harvin Clarendon County Library to discuss holding a signing event.
