Mary Lee Hodge Barrett, 94, widow of Harry Elston Barrett, died Wednesday, October 24, 2018, in Mars Hill, North Carolina.
Born May 17, 1924, in Turbeville, she was a daughter of the late George Thomas Hodge and the late Estelle Richburg Hodge. She was a member of Manning First Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Barrett Carter of Weaverville, North Carolina; a son, Alvin Randolph Barrett of Sumter; a son-in-law, Mike Hadder of New Bern, North Carolina; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Harry E. Barrett, Jr. and Sammy Lee Barrett; two daughters, Linda Barrett and Carolyn Hadder; a granddaughter, Courtney Renee Barrett; six sisters, Nettie, Lois, Reba, Mae, Lily and Ella; and a brother, Kenneth Hodge.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2018, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Phillip Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in the Manning Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be men of Manning First Baptist Church.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home.
