SUMMERTON – Thomas Tennant, 80, husband of Earline Stephens Tennant, died Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at his home.

Born April 6, 1938, in Manning, he was a son of the late Thomas Briggs Tennant and the late Sallie Mae Collins Tennant. He was the former owner and operator of Summerton Auto Service.

He is survived by his wife of Summerton; a daughter, Angela Adams (Noel) of Greenville; two grandchildren, Louis Michael Adams and Colin Thomas Adams, both of Greenville; three brothers, Frank Larry Tennant, Ashton Tennant (Helen) and Charles Tennant (Wanda), all of Summerton; two sisters, Elizabeth Sims of Summerton and Bessie Tennant of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephew.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Raymond Barfield officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home, and other times at the home, 3161 St. Paul Road in Summerton.
