Gov. Henry McMaster has ordered all flags on state buildings to be flown at half-staff from sunup to sundown on Monday in tribute to Dep. James L. Kirk Jr. of the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office. Kirk died April 25 after collapsing during a training event. McMaster also requests that flags over buildings of the political subdivisions of the state similarly be flown at half-staff for this purpose.
