Manning Elementary School fourth-grade teacher Jordan Price has 10 years of teaching experience, seven of them with Clarendon School District 2.

The Manning High School Class of 2003 graduate was recently named by her peers as her school's Teacher of the Year.

"The most rewarding part of my career is watching my students grow as learners," said Price in a release. "I love to see students grow to love math and become confident in their problem-solving skills."

Price has a bachelor of science in elementary education from Francis Marion University. She has a master of education degree in instructional accommodation from Francis Marion as well.

She is a member of Clarendon Baptist Church in Alcolu, where she is a leader with AWANA.

"I also assist (as a) team mom for the recreation department during the baseball season," she noted.

Price is married to Chris Price, also of Manning. The couple has two children, J.P., 5, and Hannah, 3.
