Greenville man arrested on child pornography charges

South Carolina Attorney Gen. Alan Wilson announced the arrest Friday of Luis Miguel Gomez, 26, of Greenville on 10 charges connected to the exploitation of a minor. Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Department made the arrest. Investigators state Gomez allegedly possessed and distributed multiple files of child pornography. Gomez was arrested on Jan. 10. He is charged with three counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years' imprisonment on each count; and seven counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years' imprisonment on each count.
