Totally stay off the roads until all ice and snow is gone, unless you have an urgent need.
Law enforcement, first responders, etc., should not have to risk their lives due to the ignorance of some. They, too, have families and friends that want them home every night. The roads are treacherous!
I was caught by this mess by surprise. I did not rush to get home by any means. I passed by the accident at mile-marker 127 (on Interstate 95 on Wednesday afternoon). It looked pretty bad. Then, there was another wreck further down, but several vehicles that ended up in the median. Trust me, had I known it was going to be this bad, I would have stayed home. I am thankful I made it.
