Winter Storm Warning still in effect through 10 p.m.

The National Weather Service out of Columbia is stating a Winter Storm Warning issued earlier Wednesday morning will remain in effect through 10 p.m. today. Snow will taper off throughout the evening. An low pressure system moving along the southeastern coast will pull some moisture from the Atlantic Ocean over the cold air in place across the area, leading to some snowfall through the evening hours. The heaviest snow is expected across the far eastern Midlands Be prepared for significant reductions in visibility at times. A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather conditions are occurring. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
