One killed in single-vehicle wreck on Moses Dingle Road

One person is dead after a single-vehicle wreck that happened late Saturday night. South Carolina Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Matt Southern said the victim was driving a 1998 Ford Explorer eastbound on Moses Dingle Road near Olin Road. The driver ran off the right side of the roadway about 11:45 p.m., struck a tree, and the vehicle caught fire. Southern said the driver was entrapped in the vehicle and died at the scene. He said seatbelt usage was unknown due to the damage to the vehicle. Manninglive.com is awaiting confirmation of the driver's identity from the Clarendon County Coroner's Office.
