The Clarendon County Sheriff's Office is currently searching for a suspect accused of robbing a local gas station at gunpoint. Sheriff Tim Baxley said that a man described as a 5-foot-10 black male walked into the Marathon station at Exit 102 off Interstate 95. "We don't know if the suspect is local or if he was a transient," said Baxley. "He could've just been passing through on Interstate 95." Baxley said the suspect weighed about 150 pounds and was armed with a black gun with a trash bag covering it. "The suspect was driving a blue, four-door sedan," Baxley said. "He was wearing stone-washed jeans, a white, long-sleeved thermal shirt and white T-shirt wrapped around his head." The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information as to the suspect's whereabouts should call (803) 435-4414. Callers may remain anonymous.
