South Carolina Attorney Gen. Alan Wilson announced the arrest of Brock Bladen Garrett, 20, of Scranton on one charge connected to the dissemination of obscene material to a minor. Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office made the arrest. Investigators with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, a member of the Minnesota ICAC Task Force, and Red Lake Nation Police Department assisted with the investigation. Investigators state Garrett sent a nude image to the minor victim via social media. Garrett was arrested on Tuesday. He is charged with one count of disseminating obscene material to a person 12 years of age or younger, a felony offense punishable by up to 15 years imprisonment. The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General's Office. Wilson stressed all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
