SUMTER - Mary R. Pugh died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at Palmetto Health Tuomey in Sumter.
Born Aug. 17, 1947, in Paxville, she was a daughter of the late Ivory "Buster" Pugh Sr. and the late Viola Spann Pugh.
The service of remembrance will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 2928 St. John Church Road in Manning, where the Rev. Ranzy McFadden Jr., pastor, will bring words of hope. Burial will be held in the Pugh family plot in St. John Missionary Baptist Church cemetery.
A public viewing will be held from 6-8 pm. Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, at the chapel of Fleming and DeLaine Funeral Home, with Eastern Star Rites starting at 6 p.m.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 4-9 p.m at the home of her brother-in-law and sister, Roney and Margaret Pugh Simon, 6709 Summerton Highway in Pinewood.
