TURBEVILLE – Hazel Dean Gibbons Reynolds, 86, died Sunday, October 8, 2017, at Lake Marion Nursing Facility in Summerton, surrounded by her daughters.

Born December 18, 1930, in Turbeville, she was a daughter of the late James Harrison Gibbons and the late Roxie Laney Morris Gibbons. She was a member of the South Carolina State Employees Association and Turbeville First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Buddin (Chuck) and Gayle R. Hicks, both of Manning; a brother, Joseph Harrison Gibbons (Geneva) of Myrtle Beach; five grandchildren, Monty John Bryan Hicks II (Robin), Renny Buddin (Sarah), Abigayle Shuey (Preston), Cari Ellen Edgin (Josh) and H.B. Buddin; seven great-grandchildren, Bailey, Carley, Turner, Tenley, Hadley, Jacob and Holden; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great grandson, Hudson David Shuey; four sisters, Vivian Hersperger, Louise Nesbitt, Zelma Rhodes and Ethel Floyd; and four brothers, Sidney, Everette, Randolph and Eugene Gibbons.

A funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Turbeville First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mike Lowder officiating. Burial will follow in the Turbeville First Baptist Church cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Bryan Hicks, Renny Buddin, H.B. Buddin, Preston Shuey, Josh Edgin and Raleigh Lowder.

Visitation will be held an hour prior to services in the church fellowship hall, and other times at the home of her daughter, Gayle Hicks, 1109 Lesesne Drive in Manning.
