James W. Hawley II and Down Hawley of Summerville announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen Ruth Hawley of Summerville to Ethan Thomas Forbes of Manning, the son of Raymond and Traci Forbes of Manning.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Thomas and Karen Losee of Sarasota, Florida; Rodney and Grace Messinger of Huntington, West Virginia; and James W. Hawley and Patricia Hawley of Huntington. She is a 2013 graduate of Faith Christian School and a 2017 graduate of Clemson University. She is employed with Scarlet Plan and Design in Charleston and Greenville.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Ret. Lt. Col. Homer Hunt and the late Ann Hunt and the late Ret. Lt. Col. James L. Forbes and Norma Forbes. He is a graduate of Laurence Manning Academy and a 2016 graduate of Clemson University. He is employed with Cherry Bekaert Accounting Firm in Greenville.
The couple is planning a January wedding.
