Services for Sumter County Sheriff's Deputy Cpl. Bernard Thomas have now been scheduled.
A Manning native and graduate of Manning High School, Thomas died Sunday morning after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, in the gymnasium of Scott's Branch High School, 9253 Alex Harvin Highway in Summerton.
The family will receive limited visitors from 3-7 p.m. daily at 3115 Wash Davis Road in Summerton.
A public viewing will be held Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, at Samuels Funeral Home LLC, 114 N. Church St. in Manning.
