EDITOR'S NOTE: The following is a reply to a letter posted about two roads in Clarendon County allegedly being impassable. I live on a connecting road, Bream Avenue. It is just as bad. I have signed two petitions to try and get the county to address the issue. Both were ignored. I have called and talked to the person in charge, (and) I was told that these streets are not on the list of county roads to be paved in the “foreseeable future.” When the county does come out, all they do is scrape the road to try and level it. No additional material is brought to resurface and fill in holes. So now, due to the repeated scraping, the roadbed is lower than the shoulder. This creates run off and makes the holes and ruts reappear even faster. TIM HINSON Manning
