Curtis R. Hutcherson, 98, widower of Gladys Horton Hutchinson, of Columbus died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2017.
He was the son of the late John and Nora Stott Hutcherson. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and was retired from Milliken.
Survivors include three daughters, Betty J. Price of Mill Spring, North Carolina, Margaret Harrington of New Zion and Brenda Deck of Rutherfordton, North Carolina; a son, Kenneth Hutchinson of Nebo, North Carolina; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
The family received friends Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Funeral services followed visitation at the church, with the Rev. Brian Wilson and the Rev. Hubert Street officiating. Burial was held in Peniel Baptist Church cemetery.
The family received friends at the home of his daughter, Brenda Deck.
