The Clarendon Hall varsity Saints fell Friday night to Richard Winn Academy by a score of 47-31.
The Eagles opened the scoring up in the first quarter with a 12-yard rushing touchdown to go 6-0. The Saints quickly answered on their second play with a 70-yard pass completion from Dylan Way to Zyan Gilmore to tie the score at 6-6.
After each team was forced to punt, Richard Winn scored from 29 yards out to go up to 12-6.
Clarendon Hall again answered right away with Dylan Way scoring on a 29-yard rushing touchdown to tie the score at 12-12.
The Eagles returned the kickoff for a touchdown on the very next play, bringing the score to 19-12. Richard Winn would score twice more in the second quarter to take the lead 33-12 at halftime.
After a blocked punt by Kade Elliott and a recovery by Dylan Way in the third quarter, Clarendon Hall added a touchdown on a 19-yard run by Dylan Way to make the score 33-18.
Richard Winn added two more scores in the fourth quarter. Clarendon Hall tried to make a comeback in the fourth quarter on a 25-yard rushing touchdown by Way and an extra point kick by Jeffrey Warren to make the score 25-47.
Clarendon Hall quickly struck again for a touchdown on a 30-yard fumble recovery by Justin James to finish out the scoring.
Dylan Way finished the night with 13 rushes for 111 yards, 5-16 passing for 141 yards, 91 yards in kick returns, three touchdowns, a pass interception and a fumble recovery.
Zyan Gilmore had four pass receptions for 133 yards and a touchdown. Ben Corbett led the Saints on defense with 14 solo tackles and four assista. Michael Bolyston added eight tackles.
The Saints will travel Friday to Johnston to take on Wardlaw Academy.
