On Saturday, June 10, the Goat Island Boat Club held its 2nd annual Poker Run to support the club's scholarship program, as well as worthwhile lake related activities for the Santee Cooper lakes.
This year’s $2,000 scholarship recipient was Cora Lee Downer of Manning. Cora, a recent graduate of Laurence Manning Academy, will be attending Clemson University, where she will major in wildlife biology.
