The National Weather Service out of Columbia has issued a special weather statement about strong thunderstorms through 8:15 p.m. A line of strong thunderstorms will affect southwestern Clarendon County. At 7:12 p.m., radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Savannah River Site to near Reevesville. Movement was northeast at 25 mph. Wind gusts of up to 25-45 mph are possible with these storms and may occur prior to rainfall.
