Central Carolina Technical College pinned seven new massage therapists Tuesday during a ceremony held at the Iris Room of the college's Health Sciences Center in downtown Sumter. The Massage Therapy program prepares graduates to work in direct client care settings to provide manipulation (massage) of the soft tissue structures of the body to prevent and alleviate pain, discomfort, muscle spasm, and stress, and to promote health and wellness. Those named from Clarendon County included Sawnteille L. Felder. Others included Laura L. Richardson of Kershaw County; Octavia S. Bradley and Jasmine T. Wilson, both of Lee County; Michael L. Joyner of Richland County; and Louis S. Stacks II and Lucille Wilson, both of Sumter County.
