Sumter County Sheriff's deputies are currently searching for a 15-year-old Lynchburg girl who went missing from her home on Sunday. Mackayla Nesbitt, a student at East Clarendon High School, was last seen by her mother at home about noon Sunday. The woman told deputies that when she came back at 6 p.m. Sunday, her daughter had taken a duffle bag of clothes, a pair of tennis shoes from the mother's closet and all of her makeup. Deputies said in a report that the girl could possibly be in Florence. Authorities there have also been notified. Sheriff Tim Baxley said his school resource officer at East Clarendon High School is also monitoring the situation. If you have any information as to Nesbitt's whereabouts, you are asked to call 911.
