Cecelia Harvin “Ceil” Eadon, 95, beloved wife of 52 years of the late Julius Romey Eadon Jr., died Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Palmetto Health Tuomey in Sumter.

Born June 5, 1922, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Stewart Ingram Harvin and Leila Burgess Harvin. She was a graduate of Manning High School and Greensboro College in Greensboro, North Carolina. She was a charter member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church, PCA.

She is survived by her children, Cecelia Mooneyhan of Florence, Julius R. Eadon III of Atlanta, Georgia, Marian Eadon of Manning and Leila “Doll” Eadon of Sumter; six grandchildren, Lawrence Edward Miller (Macey), Cecelia Harvin Whitaker (Curtis), Cecelia Eadon Mooneyhan, Virginia Meyer Eadon, Anne Harvin Iler and McCuen Burgess Eadon; four great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Stewart Ingram Harvin Jr., Dr. Harry Thornton Harvin, William Burgess Harvin and Charles Richard Harvin; a sister, Leila Olive “Doll” Harvin; and a son-in-law, Jimmy Lee Mooneyhan.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 28, 2017, at New Covenant Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Marty Hodge officiating, assisted by the Rev. Jon Beane. Burial will follow in the Manning Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Samuel H. Edmunds, Stewart I. Harvin III, Dr. Harry T. Harvin, Samuel O. Harvin, Edward S. Ervin, Marion L. Eadon Jr., Cameron T. Harvin and Stephen L. Harvin.

Honorary pallbearers will include David Geddings, William T. Geddings, Gene Gallagher, Finley Read, Mike Cook, Humphrey D. Smith, Grant Beard, Samuel E. Plowden, Bruce Macintyre, Ron Rexroad, Mike Griffin and Ted Gardner.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church fellowship hall and other times at the home, 1989 Old Georgetown Road in Manning.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clarendon Christian Learning Center, P.O. Box 911, Manning, SC 29102; Clarendon County United Ministries, P.O. Box 73, Manning, SC 29102; or to New Covenant Presbyterian Church General Fund, 2833 Alex Harvin Highway, Manning, SC 29102.
