4 charged with Paxville larceny

The Clarendon County Sheriff's Office has charged three Sumter residents and a Hillsboro, Ohio, resident for their alleged role in connection with a larceny case from the Paxville area of Clarendon County.

Sheriff Tim Baxley said the arrests were made July 12 in a joint operation with the Sumter County Sheriff's Office.

Those charged included Samantha Danielle Watford, 29, of 3770 Ramsey Road in Sumter, with petty larceny of a value of $2,000 or less; Heather Lee Adeeb, 35, of 4240 Paige Drive in Sumter, with petty larceny of a value of $2,000 or less, enhancement; Casey Renee Cockerill, 36, of 2560 Highview St. in Sumter, with petty larceny of a value $2,000 or less; and Nicholas Keith Cordy, 33, of 1281 Flatrum Road in Hillsboro, Ohio, with petty larceny of a value of $2,000 or less, enhancement.

Watford, Adeeb and Cockerill were granted $2,000 personal recognizance bonds and released the day of their arrest, according to information from the Clarendon County Public Court Index. Cordy was granted a $2,000 personal recognizance or surety bond but remains at the Clarendon County Detention Center, per the index.

Baxley did not provide details of the larceny itself.
