The National Weather Service out of Columbia has issued a flood advisory for southwestern Clarendon County through 10:45 p.m. Saturday. At 8:46 p.m., Doppler radar indicated that 1 to 2 inches of rain had fallen with locally higher amounts due to slow moving thunderstorms. This will result in flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas in the advisory area. Significant ponding of water on some roadways is also expected.
