A woman was killed about 7:30 a.m. in a wreck on Interstate 95 at the Clarendon-Orangeburg border.
Lance Cpl. Matt Southern with the S.C. Highway Patrol said the unidentified woman was driving a 1997 Honda Accord southbound on the interstate when she ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected and struck a guardrail at the 100 mile-marker on the Lake Marion bridge.
Southern said the woman was not wearing a seatbelt and that she was entrapped as a result of the crash.
The coroner's office has not released the identity of the woman at this time.
