Collar named principal of Scott's Branch

Robert Collar has been named the principal of Scott's Branch Middle High School for the 2017-18 school year, according to a release from Clarendon School District t1. He currently serves as principal of the state's Department of Juvenile Justice High School in Turbeville.

"He has varied experiences in special services and regular education settings," reads the release from the district. "Collar is thankful for having the opportunity to witness the operations of charter schools in Chicago. He attributes the experience in influencing his career as an educator. Collar stated that his varied experiences will serve him and the students well at Scott's Branch Middle High School."

Collar said he is excited about being a part of historic Clarendon School District 1.
