The Phi Omega Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. of Manning sponsored a pageant May 20 at Manning Junior High School, selecting Zaniyah Bryant as Miss Ivy Pearl. The pageant helps to support the chapter's efforts in providing scholarships to graduates in Clarendon School Districts 1, 2 and 3. Contestants for Miss Ivy Pearl, aside from Bryant, included 1st runner-up Tiara Starks; 2nd runner-up Tianna Ragin; and 3rd runner-up Key'Nyreia Butler.
