SUMTER - Nellie Johnson McFadden, widow of Booker T. McFadden, died Sunday, June 11, 2017, at Sumter Health and Rehabilitation Center East in Sumter.
Born Dec. 16, 1934, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Walter Cleveland and Alice Waiters Johnson.
A service of remembrance will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2017, at Society Hill AME Church, 1030 Morello Road, S.C. 260, in Jordan. The Rev. Mary F. Rhodes, pastor, will deliver words of consolation. Burial will follow in the Johnson family plot at Society Hill AME Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home, 1113 W.A. Gamble Road in Jordan.
