Clarendon County Guilty Pleas: June 5-9

The following guilty pleas were heard before Circuit Court Judge Clifton Newman during a term of General Sessions Court held at the Clarendon County Courthouse from June 5-9. Information is taken directly from the Clarendon County Public Court Index. Caroline A. Keller of 6081 Kips Lane in Orangebrug pleaded guilty to driving under the influence, less than .10, first offense, and received a sentence of 30 days in jail or the completion of 48 hours of public service employment. Seh was originally charged with driving under the influence, second offense. Ruben Velasquez of 2649 St. Paul Road in Summerton pleaded guilty to possession of 28 grams or 1 ounce or less of marijuana or 10 grams or less of hash, first offense, receiving a sentence of 30 days and time-served. He was originally charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, first offense, and served one day after his arrest at the Clarendon County Detention Center. Terrence Lamond Wilson of 1994 Hotel St. in Alcolu pleaded guilty to second-degree domestic violence, receiving a sentence of one year in prison, suspended to 31 days in jail and one year's probation. He was originally charged with domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.
