A 14-year-old Summerton girl told the Manning Police Department about 11 p.m. May 24 that a 28-year-old man grabbed her by the arm, threw her onto a couch and placed his forearm on her throat during an argument about 7 p.m. the same day at an undisclosed location.
The girl's father called the police after picking the girl up from the location. The victim told police that a verbal argument led to the suspect getting in her face. Police reported observing small scratches on the girl's forearm, where she said the suspect grabbed her.
The girl declined to press charges, according to reports.
