An employee with a store in the 2000 block of Paxville Highway told the Manning Police Department about 11:20 a.m. May 22 that a 48-year-old Manning man entered the store and "selected, concealed and carried away without purchasing items from automotive valued at $10," before allegedly returning to the parking lot, moving his vehicle to a different location and then returning to the store to return the allegedly stolen item for a gift card refund.
According to reports, the incident happened about 10:57 a.m. the same day, and police were able to view video surveillance.
