Manning High School has released its parking diagram for its annual graduation exercises, which will be held 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Ramsey Stadium behind the school.

Clarendon School District 2 administrative staff, guests and physically disabled guests with proper handicap parking decals and license plates will have designated parking spaces, as will the Class of 2017 and District 2 Board of Trustees members.

According to a release from the school, graduates will park on the band's grass practicing area on the side of the school. Each graduate will have one parking pass; he or she must present this pass in order to park.

The school parking lot at the rear of the building will be primarily for authorized handicapped parking. There will be overflow non-handicap parking available there after the primary parking area has reached capacity.

The schools asks that parents, friends and guests of graduates will park in the student parking lot adjacent to the school's tennis courts. Overflow parking will also be provided on the football practice field, along with other designated areas.

"It is recommended that family and friends allow sufficient time to park and proceed to Ramsey Stadium," said Principal Preston Threatt.

He said that all gates to Ramsey Stadium will be closed once graduates begin marching to their seats.

"They will remain closed until the graduates have taken their seats," Threatt said.

Threatt noted that, should inclement weather move the ceremony inside, only guests with designated tickets will be admitted into the Coach John Thames Gymnasium at Manning High School.

"Once the gymnasium reaches maximum capacity, individuals wanting to observe the graduation ceremony will have to go to the lecture hall and watch on a closed-circuit projection monitor," said Threatt.
