Land receives Manning Rotary Club scholarship

Manning High School senior Anders Land was one of four recipients last week of a scholarship presented by the Manning Rotary Club.

The son of Rotarian Amy Land and Ceth Land, he plans to study at the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina and ultimately work on the business side of agriculture. At Manning High School, he has participated in STudent Council, the Fellowship of Christian AThletes, the FFA, the Future Business Leaders of America, the Manning AThletic Club and the Mock Trial Team. He has played varsity golf and was also a Palmetto Boys' State delegate in 2016. He attends Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, where he is a member of the youth group. He is also a confirmation candidate there.

In addition, he serves as a Manning Rotary Club volunteer.

He is employed with Land, Parker and Welch throughout the school year, and at Carolina Tree Care during the summer months. He is also employed with S&L Cattle.
