Johnny M. McClam, 69, husband of Virginia McClam, died Thursday, May 18, 2017, in Sumter.
Born Dec. 29, 1947, in Williamsburg County, he was a son of the late Mitchell and Icybell McClam.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, John McClam and James McClam; and three sisters, Laura A. Pierce, Emma L. Dargan and Christine McClam.
Survivors besides his wife include three daughters, Lou Bertha (John) DePrimo, Christine (Tyson) Frazier and Elizabeth McClam; a son, Lorenzo McClam; a special granddaughter, Janell (Harry) Davis; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Almae (Herbert) Holmes and Ida McClam; a brother, Mitchell (Selena) McClam; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017, at St. John United Methodist Church, 1653 Green Road in Lake City, with Pastor Amiri B. Hooker officiating. Interment will follow in church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home, 750 Branch St. in Sumter.
