South Carolina GOP Chairman Matt Moore, center-left, presented the three folks responsible for the Prayer Quilt group on social media with the Special Chairman's Award during the annual convention held May 13 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. Those receiving the award included, from left, Rep. Lin Bennett, Clarendon School District 1 board member and Clarendon County GOP Committee member Cynthia Risher and Clarendon County GOP Chairman Moye Graham. The award, which was non-political in nature, is given to recognize those doing effective community outreach in trying to bring people closer together for the good of all. Bennett, Risher and Graham post nightly on Facebook and other social media platforms, calling for prayer for various residents across South Carolina and the entire United States. More than 1,000 people attended the convention.
