Mina Pack Brown, 90, widow of Loyd J. Brown, died Friday, May 12, 2017.

Born in Alcolu, she was the daughter of the late George Washington Pack and Mina Theresa Richburg Pack. Mrs. Brown was a member of Northside Memorial Baptist Church. She spent her life dedicated to caring for her family.

Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Lesslie (John A.) of Rock Hill, and Connie Weathersbee (Ricky) and Bonnie Altman, both of Sumter; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Branham (Vic), Nancy Carruth (Michael), Jessica Altman (Brett), Will Lesslie (Ashley), Lindsey Weathersbee and Katie Weathersbee; her great-grandchildren, Taylor Crawford (Allan), Madison Lesslie, Wells Lesslie, Emma Lesslie, Cam Branham, Spencer Mooneyham, Hannah Kate Branham, Cole Carruth, Ella Lesslie, Jaxson Carruth and Emmie Mooneyham; her great-great-grandchildren, Camden Crawford and Paisley Crawford; a brother, Robert Pack of Belton; and a sister, Frances Boykin of Courtland, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, John Pack, Nelson Pack and George Pack Jr.; four sisters, Pauline Crawford, Maybelle Cook, Mary Inabinette and Mallie Ridgeway; and a son-in-law, Benny Altman.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery, with the Rev. Jimmy Holley officiating.

The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service, and other times at the home of Connie and Ricky Weathersbee.

The family would like to express its appreciation to her caregiver, Elsie Wells, for all of her loving care and compassion.
