COLUMBIA - Joseph Alderman “Joey” Eadon, 54, died Saturday, May 6, 2017, at his home.

Born Aug. 12, 1962, in Manning, he was a son of Marion Leroy "Brother" Eadon Jr. and Jennie Alderman Eadon. Joey was a graduate of Laurence Manning Academy and received his degree in nursing from the University of South Carolina Sumter. Joey was so kindhearted and loved his family dearly.

Survivors besides his father of Manning and his mother of Columbia include three sisters, Debbie Eadon Blair (Jay) of Columbia, Kitty Eadon Stephens (Shayne) of Manning and Kelly Eadon Lowery (Danny) of Gable; four nephews, Jim Blair IV, Shayne Stephens Jr., Bennett Stephens and Lee Lowery; two nieces, Shaw Stephens and Ava Lowery; and special aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Marion Leroy "Lee" Eadon III; a sister, Sallie Lynn Eadon; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion L. Eadon, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Alderman.

A graveside service will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2017, in Manning Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Robert Lewis Alderman officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service.
