COLUMBIA – Carolyn Ray Holladay Spigner, 80, wife of Ralph Gordon Spigner Sr., died Friday, April 28, 2017, at Providence Health.

Born Feb. 17, 1937, in Charlotte, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Herbert Wayne Holladay and Nellie Ray Tobias Holladay. She was a member of Trenholm Road United Methodist Church.

Survivors besides her husband of Columbia include a daughter, Carol Doonan (Keith); a son, Ralph G. “Ral” Spigner, Jr. (Sandra), both of Columbia; a brother, Wayne Holladay (Edith); a sister, Joyce Hardy (George), both of Manning; five grandchildren, Will Gillespie (Lauren), Scott Gillespie, Catherine Gillespie, Macie Spigner and Hunter Spigner; and two great-granddaughters, Addison and Evie Gillespie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Marion Jordan, Judy Rogers and Mary Faye Lewis.

Visitation will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Dunbar Funeral Home, 2936 Devine St. in Columbia.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 1, 2017, at Trenholm Road United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mike Smith officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2017, at Wilson Community Cemetery at Union United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Tommy Conway officiating.
