The Clarendon County Coroner's Office has scheduled an autopsy for a 68-year-old Santee man who was found dead late Tuesday evening in the Lizzie Creek area of Lake Marion in Clarendon County.
Deputy Coroner Bucky Mock said the body of Gregory Craven will be taken to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston on Friday for an autopsy.
"He builds docks for a living and he was working on a dock for someone on our side of the lake," said Mock of the Santee resident. "We are not sure what happened to him at this time."
Mock said that Clarendon County Sheriff's deputies responded to the area of M.W. Rickenbaker Road near Summerton about 6 p.m. and called the Coroner's Office about 8 p.m. Tuesday.
