Bertha Samuel Lee Redden, 95, widow of Arthur Lee and Charlie Redden, died Saturday, April 15, 2017, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
Born Aug. 12, 1921, in Alcolu, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Samuel and Charlotte Brunson Samuel.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church, 10331 Plowden Mill Road in Alcolu, with the Rev. Hazel Charles, pastor, and the Rev. Otis Blackwell officiating. The Rev. Jerome McCray will preside, with the Rev. David Pugh and Rev. Mary Rose assisting.
Burial will follow in Fair Haven Baptist Church cemetery in Alcolu.
The family is receiving friends at her home, 627 Sykes St. in Manning.
Services were entrusted to Samuels Funeral Home LLC of Manning.
