A 68-year-old Manning man was taken to the Clarendon County Detention Center earlier this month after allegedly taking a tube of medical creme valued at $7 from a local store without paying for it. An employee with the store located on Sunset Drive in Manning told police that she observed the man walking around the store with bags, and that the store doesn't allow such activity within the store. She said she then noticed the man take a box of Ben-Gay medical creme and put it in his back, left pocket to conceal it with his shirt. Police charged the man with shoplifting and put him on trespass notice from the business.
