The Laurence Manning Academy varsity Swampcats defeated Orangeburg Prep April 4 by a score of 14-1. Four Swampcat pitchers combined to throw a one-hitter and Swampcat hitters accounted for 17 hits as they defeated OP in five innings in Orangeburg. Buddy Bleasedale picked up the win on the mound, followed on the mound by Morgan Morris, Andrew Boyd and Bobby Crsip. Bleasedale went 3-4 with a home run. Taylor Lee was 2-3, while Ryan Touchberry and Barydon Osteen were each 2-2. Cole Hair was 2-4, and Crisp was 1-3 with a home run. The Swampcats' record now stands at 14-2 and 5-0 in the region. The team will play Thursday at home against Augusta Christian.
