Guilty Pleas: March 13-17

The following pleas were heard during a term of General Sessions Court held March 13-17 in Clarendon County before 3rd Circuit Judge R. Ferrell Cothran. Jason Eugene Adeeb of 4240 Paige Drive in Sumter pleaded guilty March 17 to resisting arrest, receiving a sentence of one year in prison, suspended to time-served and 18 months' probation. He also pleaded guilty to second-degree domestic violence, receiving a sentence of three years in prison, suspended to time-served and 18 months' probation. According to the Clarendon County Public Court Index, Adeeb had been held at the Clarendon County Detention Center without bond since his arrest Feb. 22. Harley Ray Ard of 4245 Bethel Church Road in Sumter pleaded guilty March 14 to second-degree burglary, non-violent, and second-degree assault and battery, receiving five years in prison and three years in prison, respectively, with both suspended to six months in prison and three years' probation. Bradley Bianco of Turbeville Correctional Institute, 1578 Clarence E. Coker Highway in Turbeville, pleaded guilty March 16 to second-degree assault and battery, receiving six months in prison. Marcel Keith Bowman of 113 Richard St. in Manning pleaded guilty March 14 to failure to stop for a blue light; being a habitual traffic offender related to driving under suspension; driving under suspension, third or subsequent offense; and resisting arrest. Sentences included three years in prison and a $500 fine, suspended to time-served, a fine of $100 and 18 months' probation for the failure to stop, and four years in prison and a $500 fine, suspended to time-served, a $100 fine and 18 months' probation for being a habitual traffic offender. Tonya Broadway of 105 N. Brewington Road in Manning pleaded guilty March 15 yo unlawful neglect of a child or helpless person, receiving three years in prison, suspended to time-served and six months' probation. According to the Clarendon County Public Court Index, Broadway served one day at the Clarendon County Detention Center after her arrest Oct. 24, 2016. Mary Loraine Brunson of 3220 N.W. 2nd St. in Pompano Beach, Florida, pleaded guilty March 15 to unlawful carrying of a pistol, receiving a sentence of 60 days in jail or the payment of a $150 fine. A charge of sale or delivery of a pistol to and possession by certain persons unlawful stolen was dropped. Rashaad Jaquan Carter of 8171 June Burn Road in Alcolu pleaded guilty March 15 to unlawful neglect of a child or helpless person, receiving three years in prison, suspended to six months' probation. Robert Eaves Causey of 2174 Francis Marion Road in Summerton pleaded guilty March 17 to first-degree harrassment, receiving three years in prison, suspended to 18 months' probation. Courtney Epps of 8171 June Burn Road in Alcolu pleaded guilty March 15 to unlawful neglect of a child or helpless person, receiving three years in prison, suspended to six months' probation. Jamell Antonio Green of 1829 Wash Davis Road in Summerton pleaded guilty March 16 to three counts of third-degree burglary, first offense, receiving sentences of one, five and five years, respectively. Six counts of safe-cracking were dropped during the plea, according to the Clarendon County Public Court INdex. Daniel Carson Hodge of 2107 Hodge Circle in Manning pleaded guilty March 14 to third-degree burglary, first offense, receiving a sentence under the Youthful Offender Act not to exceed five years, suspended to three years' probation. Sherman Eugene James III of 1344 Griffen Road in Leesburg, Florida, pleaded guilty March 14 to possession of other controled substance from Schedule 1-V, first offense, receiving a sentence of 30 days in jail or payment of a $100 fine. Charles Jevante Johnson of 611 E. Liberty St. in Sumter pleaded guilty March 16 to failure to stop for a blue light, resulting in no injury or death, second or subsequent offense, and being a habitual traffic offender, receiving concurrent sentences of five years in prison, suspended to time-served and three years' probation. According to the Clarendon County Public Court Index, Johnson had been held at the Clarendon County Detention Center since his arrest April 25, 2016. Joseph Olin Kennedy IV of 1731 Frederick Road in Manning pleaded guilty March 17 to one court of first-degree domestic violence, receiving five years in prison, suspended to one year in prison and two years' probation; and two counts of second-degree domestic violence, receiving three years in prison, suspended to one year in prison and three years' probation. One count each of third-degree domestic violence, hit and run with property damage and second-degree assault and battery were dropped, according to the Clarendon County Public Court Index. Jonathan Lee Maynor of 8082 HIghway 72 in West Pembroke, North Carolina, pleaded guilty March 13 to possession of cocaine, first offense, receiving a sentence of time-served. According to the Clarendon County Public Court Index, Maynor served four days after his arrest Nov. 17, 2014. Nicholas E. Morra of 1705 W. Avenue South in Pinewood pleaded guilty March 16 to manufacture, distribution or possession of narcotic drugs in Schedule I or II, first offense, receiving a sentence of seven years in prison and payment of a $1,000 fine, suspended to time-served, payment of a $500 fine and three years' probation. According to the Clarendon County Public Court Index, Morra served one day after his arrest April 12, 2016. Charges of attempt and conspiracy to violate the general provisions of the drug laws and manufacture and possession of other substances in Schedule I to III or flunetrazepam or analogue, first offense, with intent to distribute were dropped. Aubri Reba Nowosielski of 1705 W. Avenue South in Pinewood pleaded guilty March 16 to attempt and conspiracy to violate the general provisions of the drug laws and possession of narcotics in Schedule I and II, first offense, receiving a sentence of five years in prison and payment of a $500 fine, suspended to time-served, payment of a $250 fine and two years' probation, and two years in prison, suspended to time-served and two years' probation. According to the Clarendon County Public Court Index, Nowosielski served one day after her arrest April 12, 2016. Cordell Montezee Pressley of 3130 Deer Track Circle in Dalzell pleaded guilty March 16 to resisting arrest, receiving a sentence of 90 days in jail or payment of a $100 fine. Simon Emmanuel Scott of 1353 Roosevelt Drive in Summerton pleaded guilty March 14 to third-degree domestic violence, receiving 20 days in jail. Christopher Lee Wendt of 1361 Tara Lane in Manning pleaded guilty March 13 to two counts of financial transaction card theft, receiving four years in prison, suspended to time served and five years' probation and restitution; and six years in prison, suspended to time-served and five years' probation and restitution. According to the Clarendon County Public Court Index, Wendt had been held at the Clarendon County Detention Center since his arrest Jan. 29, 2016.
