The Laurence Manning Academy academic teams visited the Clarendon County Administration Building and the Clarendon County Courthouse recently to learn about county government. County Administrator David Epperson explained the three branches of government, particularly the legislative and executive branches, to students gathered at the Administration Building. Epperson also arranged for students to visit the courthouse to learn about the judicial branch and to speak with Circuit Court judges Thomas Cooper and R. Ferrell Cothran. After the tours, the students went to lunch at Manning Restaurant with LMA Headmaster Dr. Spencer Jordan. The academic teams are comprised of students from third through seventh grades at the school.
