South Carolina authorities are currently seeing a North Carolina teenager believed missing since the Wednesday after Christmas.

Travis Burns is described as a 16-year-old white male standing between 6-feet and 6-feet-2 and weighing about 170 pounds. He has white and pink hair, with very long bangs that he tends to wear off to one side, according to a family member's post on social media. He also has a double lip piercing and a tattoo.

Manning Police Chief Blair Shaffer said the department has received flyers with Burns' information and three pictures. Family members posted to social media earlier Sunday to say Burns snuck out of his house in North Carolina and walked to a train station in Fayetteville, buying a ticket for a train to Kingstree that left at 1 a.m. Dec. 29. The train was delayed until 3 a.m. and arrived in Kingstree about 5 a.m.

"Between 6 and 7:30 a.m. he was on foot and knocking on doors trying to get a ride into Manning," the post said. "He was also spotted on Swamp Fox Golf Course Road."

Since then, Burns has been reportedly spotted at the Walmart in both Georgetown and Manning. His phone was found in Kingstree on Friday and was turned into Kingstree police.

Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
