A 50-year-old Turbeville woman was killed about 9:45 p.m. Thursday after an 18-wheeler hit her while she was walking in the area of Turbeville Highway and America Avenue in Turbeville.
Clarendon County Deputy Coroner Bucky Mock said an autopsy will be performed 11 a.m. today at the Medical University of South Carolina on Sheryl Singletary, who was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck.
Details from the S.C. Highway Patrol are unavailable as of 7:45 a.m. Friday.
