The owners of a Turbeville staple will serve as this year's Grand Marshals for the Turbeville Christmas Parade.
The Town of Turbeville and the Turbeville Business Association announced Monday that Hugh and Marti Smith will marshal the parade, which will be held 4 p.m. Dec. 10 in downtown Turbeville.
"Hugh and Marti were chosen for their vast contributions to the Turbeville area youth as sponsors and coaches for various ball teams; for their philanthropic contributions to the various causes in the Turbeville area; and their love for their home town," reads a release from the Turbeville Business Association.
The town's annual Christmas Parade down Main Street will conclude at Village Square with the annual tree-lighting ceremony, at which Walker-Gamble Elementary School students will perform.
